First foothold
Initial industry and printing cell, tower structure, habitation and fabrication capability.
A red planet. Sixty spacecraft. Seven connected habitat cells. One evolving vision of life beyond Earth · and now, an interactive colony you can explore and redesign.
MARS X explores a settlement assembled mission by mission. As spacecraft arrive, new structures and systems emerge. Between arrivals, local 3D printing and fit-out can continue independently.
The online workshop lets you inspect ships and modules, move objects, control arrivals, reveal interior spaces and export your own version of the colony.
START BUILDING ↗Central growing, seed research, processing and local services. The heart of the settlement.
Four proposed stages. Each step adds capabilities — while the colony remains editable and the technical feasibility remains to be evaluated.
Initial industry and printing cell, tower structure, habitation and fabrication capability.
Greenhouse cell, cultivation, food-related services and proposed return of X22–X24.
Mining and heavy assembly cells with materials handling, maintenance and new homes.
Technology, community and residential cells complete the seven-cell settlement.
Food, rest, hospitality, social connection and daily rituals matter just as much as infrastructure. Inspired by the existing community, greenhouse and residential cells, Online-Chef imagines a future hospitality layer for MARS X.
The first warm dining habitat imagined for MARS X · built for comfort, ritual and morale.
CONCEPT / PLANNEDIngredient research, growing systems and experimental meal development.
CONCEPT / PLANNEDThoughtful accommodation and recovery spaces for people off Earth.
CONCEPT / PLANNEDA calm place for connection, conversation and life between missions.
CONCEPT / PLANNEDFood logistics, storage and resource-conscious kitchen operations.
CONCEPT / PLANNEDTraining for safe, creative and efficient food preparation beyond Earth.
CONCEPT / PLANNEDHX modules are future creative additions. They are not yet part of the current workshop's 290-object model.

MARS X did not begin as a formal aerospace study. It began as a vivid personal vision · ships arriving one by one, a settlement growing cell by cell, and a future community becoming real through food, hospitality and shared daily rituals.
That is why this project is not only about structures and systems. It is also about mood, comfort, belonging and the first truly memorable meal on Mars.

Sol-Inn Habitat is our current name for the first dedicated place in MARS X where the colony can slow down, sit together and feel at home.
It is designed as a social life-support space · part dining room, part decompression zone, part ritual hub. Greenhouse-fed ingredients, warm light, longer tables and a calmer atmosphere turn survival meals into shared experience.
The current workshop is live. Choose an arrival stage, open the object library, rearrange modules and save your design using JSON export.
Next on the horizon: interactive MARS X Tales · story missions where food systems, safety, energy and human needs shape the future of the settlement.
342 people. A fragile food system. One kitchen. What could possibly go wrong?
From a chef's crazy dream to a place where a Mars community gathers. Imagine Sol-Inn after 25 years of adaptation, maintenance, discovery and meals shared under the red sky.
Not a pristine showroom. A working food habitat shaped by real routines: robotic chefs preparing fresh meals, Sol-Away dispatching food for field crews, and a botanical kitchen turning new crops into familiar comforts.
Above the production floors, people meet for dinner, coffee and conversation. Nearby, a separate emergency food reserve protects the colony if normal operations are interrupted.
This is a speculative future vision, not a completed Mars settlement or a verified engineering proposal.

The standalone Emergency Food Vault is shown alongside Sol-Inn as a future concept. Its final placement, engineering and operational capacity remain under development.
No installation. No account.

Every great journey begins with something that once seemed impossible. A thought. A question. A wonderfully crazy dream. With imagination, courage and the patience to keep building, we can achieve extraordinary things.
We believe humanity will reach the stars. Beyond Mars, new horizons will call us onward, and we will carry the best of Earth with us: curiosity, kindness and the joy of gathering around a table.
The universe is vast. Let our dreams be just as bold. And wherever we go, however far from home, one essential question will follow us.
Because even among the stars, humanity will always need good food service. Someone still has to feed the dreamers · and remind the robot chef that a little more seasoning is not a system error.
The stars are waiting. Dinner is at seven.
