Cuisineer

Cuisineer: When Your Restaurant Supplier Is a Monster

Running a restaurant is tough. But have you ever had to fight your ingredients before cooking them?

We found a rather unusual little game for our Board of Interests: Cuisineer, a delightful mix of restaurant management, cooking, and dungeon-crawling adventure.
You play as Pom, who returns home to discover that her family’s restaurant is drowning in debt.

The solution? Reopen the restaurant, cook delicious meals, attract customers, and somehow make enough money to keep the business alive.

Sounds familiar so far. Except there’s one small detail.

Your ingredients fight back.

Forget calling your vegetable supplier. In Cuisineer, you’ll explore dangerous dungeons, battle strange creatures, and collect the ingredients you need for your next service. Back in town, you’ll cook dishes, improve your restaurant, and try to turn a struggling family business into a successful little food destination.
It’s a charming combination of kitchen management and fantasy adventure.

A chef’s perspective

In a real professional kitchen, we have supplier orders, delivery schedules, inventory management, and food cost calculations. In Cuisineer, apparently, we have monsters. And to be fair, after a particularly difficult supplier delivery, the difference might not feel that enormous. We haven’t tested the game ourselves yet, but the concept was simply too entertaining not to share.

Fancy a little culinary adventure?

Cuisineer is available on Android and iOS through Crunchyroll Game Vault. An eligible Crunchyroll subscription is required to play.

Because sometimes cooking dinner requires a sword.
